Zoning controls include both thermostats and central zoning controls. Thermostats activate the heating, cooling, and fan equipment necessary to maintain indoor temperature comfort. Many thermostats support connection to auxiliary temperature sensors to remotely measure the room, floor, or outdoor air temperature. Central zoning controls connect to the thermostats to provide power and to operate a hydronic heating zone valve or zone pump to deliver heat to each room.
