Each school contains several practical application examples of the controls that are discussed.

S110 - Reset Control School

The Reset Control School (S 110) covers the operation, selection, installation and setup of tekmar's line of stand-alone boiler and mixing reset controls. The school discusses the concepts of Outdoor Reset, Characterized Heating Curves and mixing methods. The material is presented in a manner suitable for students that are new to tekmar's product line and is an ideal introductory course.

S117 - tekmarNet®4 Control School Level I

Introduction to tN4 systems and tN4 products. It assumes that the student has a basic understanding of outdoor reset, boiler controls and mixing controls. This course covers the tN4 System Controls that provide one or two water temperatures and how to apply these controls. The concept of a tN4 bus is explained as well as covering the advantages of using tN4 systems for both the installer and the user.

S118 - tekmarNet®4 Control School Level II

A continuation of the S117 and the tN4 product line. This course covers tN4 System Controls that provide up to four separate water temperatures and the higher level tN4 thermostats that allow for two stage heating and two stage cooling as well as fan control, HRV / ERV / ventilation operation. The concepts of cooling groups and custom setback schedules are also covered.

S121 - Multiple Boiler Control School

Operation, selection, and installation of controls for multiple boiler systems and commercial mixing systems. The school discusses different piping methods, staging and rotation concepts, boiler protection, as well as the different devices that can be used for mixing and their proper piping. In addition, the school will cover the operation and installation of tekmar's Pump Sequencer Control 132.

S131 - Snow Melting Control School

The school discusses the concepts of slab temperature control, slab protection, boiler protection and mixing methods. Multiple zone snow melting systems with and without prioritization are discussed with a focus on the control features that must be used when dealing with complex snow melting systems. The school will also include a section on the various methods for starting and stopping snow melting systems.
