Several tekmar Thermostats allow
for 2 or 4 event per day Schedules
Thermostat Scheduling
Many tekmar programmable thermostats allow for two or four temperature settings per day. This allows you to set the times when rooms are likely to be in use. Enabling schedules means that you won't have to lower the temperature before you go out, or turn the thermostat up when you return.
With tekmarNet®4 Thermostats you can specify 'master' schedules for rooms with simple thermostats to follow. For example, if you know that the bathroom and master bedroom are usually occupied around the same times, you can set the bathroom thermostat to follow the master bedroom schedule. Here's an example of what a 4 event weekday / weekend (5-2) schedule could look like:

tekmarNet®4 Thermostat Scenes
Scenes take the Scheduling concept one step further. Not only can you set schedule groups for thermostats with a similar usage pattern, you can now select a scene setting on one tekmarNet®4 thermostat and have all of the enabled thermostats respond. A good example of this is the pre-configured 'Away' setting. If you select the Scene 'Away' when you go out, all of the thermostats with their Scene setting turned on will respond by using their 'Away' temperature setting.
To change the current scene on a tekmarNet®4 Thermostat, use the Menu button to navigate to the Scene Menu. Press the item button once. When you see the word Select on the screen, use the Up or Down arrow to change the scene number. The screen will return to the default display after 60 seconds.
Scene 1 - The default scene. Rooms are set for schedules that reflect the average day and week
Scene 2 - (Away) - Activate the systems Away status. The Scene setting, 'Awayhold' allows for entry of a duration
Scene 3 - (UnOccupied) Sets the thermostats to an UnOccupied temperature until you select a different Scene
Scene 4 - A custom Scene setting that does not change until you select a different Scene
Scene 5 - A custom Scene setting that does not change until you select a different Scene
Scene 6 - (Temporary Occupied) provides an Occupied temperature for 3 hours, then returns to prior setting
Scene 7 - A custom Scene setting that is in effect for 4 hours
Scene 8 - A custom Scene setting that is in effect for 8 hours
Note: If you have tekmarNet®4 Thermostats and your installer did not ask what kind of custom scenes you would like, they may not be programmed into your thermostats. Contact your installer to ask if the scenes were enabled and customized. You can also refer to the user brochure for the Thermostat (available here).
For example, you may want to have a 'Guest' scenario applied to Scene 4. In order to make this work, the thermostats throughout the house would have their Scene / Set Permanent 4 setting adjusted to reflect what the room condition should be when the Scene 4 (Guest) scene is in effect.
