 Alternative energy controls harness energy sources such as solar thermal panels, geo thermal heat pumps and wood boilers to provide heating to domestic hot water tanks and hydronic heating systems. Classic SeriesClassic series controls operate the heat transfer from a solar thermal, wood boiler or other alternative energy source to a storage tank or to transfer heat from a storage tank to a hydronic heating system. Each control operates as a stand-alone unit. Performance SeriesPerformance series controls use communication between the hydronic heating control and the thermostat to maximize energy usage from an alternative energy source before activating a backup energy source using gas, oil or electric.
